Challenge
The primary challenge was to create an engaging and user-friendly interface for musicians seeking studio space while streamlining the booking process to enhance user experience. Additionally, we aimed to provide studio owners with a comprehensive area to manage bookings effectively.
My Impact
- Improved user journey and structured experience.
- Completed all user flows, identifying and addressing potential pain points.
- Enhanced UI consistency across different user profiles.
User Profiles
We identified two main user personas:
1. Music Studio Owners: Those listing their studios for rent.
2. Musicians: Seeking studio space for practice or recording.
Planning
After creating personas and identifying their pain points, I developed task flows to understand user actions. I also emphasized the importance of multiple login points for enhanced user convenience.
User Stories and Requirements
Defined user stories included:
- Studio owners: Listing studios, managing bookings, pricing, and metrics.
- Musicians: Searching, booking, visualizing bookings, and adding extra services.
Must-Have Features
- Two-step and email verification for secure sign-in.
- Search filters for studio type, date, time, instruments, and rating.
- Detailed studio profiles with photos, descriptions, and pricing.
- Booking system with availability calendar and pricing details.
- User profiles with booking history, wish list, payments, and studio listing for musicians.
- Studio owner profiles with earnings, bookings, and settings.
