Introduction

Probook is a mobile app designed to simplify the process of booking professional consultants, approached seeking a comprehensive overhaul of its user interface design. As the lead UX/UI designer, I spearheaded the development of a new Design System aimed at enhancing user experience and streamlining the booking process for both consultants and clients.

Challenges

• Complexity: The existing interface lacked intuitive navigation and suffered from information overload, leading to user frustration and drop-offs.

  
  

• Collaboration: Although the client provided initial research and wireframes, there was a need for collaborative refinement to ensure alignment with user needs and development feasibility.
  
  

• Brand Alignment: While Probook had established brand guidelines, the UI design did not effectively reflect the brand identity, resulting in inconsistency across the different components of the application.

  
  

Approach

Design System Development: I led the creation and organization of all components for the design system, aligning them with Probook's brand guidelines. This involved defining colour palettes, typography, iconography, and UI patterns to ensure consistency, scalability and feasibility across the app.

Iterative Prototyping: Through rapid prototyping and user testing, we iteratively refined the UI design to validate its effectiveness in meeting user needs and business objectives. This agile approach enabled us to incorporate feedback from stakeholders and end-users.

Solution

Streamlined Onboarding: The updated onboarding process ensures a smooth introduction to Probook's features. It guides users step-by-step through account setup and customization of preferences. This approach breaks down the required information into manageable screens, preventing information overload and aiming to reduce user dropouts.

Enhanced Provider Onboarding: We've redesigned the onboarding experience for professional consultants to streamline profile creation. This includes showcasing certification verification, testimonials, and service offerings, to optimize efficiency and reduce friction. Our goal was to display all their selling points efficiently.

Intuitive Payment Systems: The redesigned payment systems for providers offer transparent fee structures and multiple payment options, fostering trust and convenience in financial transactions.

Personalized Profiles: Client and consultant profiles now feature customizable preferences, detailed service portfolios, and client testimonials, empowering users to make informed decisions and build trust.

Improved Booking System: The overall booking system has undergone significant enhancements, now featuring intuitive search filters, availability calendars, and instant booking confirmations. These improvements aim to enhance user satisfaction by providing quick feedback and ultimately improving retention.
